In the role of Maintenance Electrician, you will be part of the Maintenance Team in the Brewing Department. You will work in a union environment at our Ft.
Worth Brewery. Successful candidates will contribute to the overall department team by routinely operating and maintaining equipment.
You will be responsible for ensuring equipment is well maintained and runs efficiently, with few breakdowns. This will include working with PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and power boards / motor control centers (up to and including 480 volts).
You will also be responsible for supporting the technical growth of our operators, and our journey to operator-based maintenance.
This position will report to the Maintenance Leads and will initially be assigned to 2nd or 3rd shift. Must be available to work nights and weekends.
We are offering a $3,000 sign on bonus for this position.
The Responsibilities :
- Perform set-up, adjustment, timing, troubleshooting, replacement, and programming of electrical equipment using ladder logic, electrical prints, and / or schematics.
- Dismantle, inspect, and rebuild electrical assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications or production requirements.
- Perform instrument calibration routines and tuning.
- Troubleshoot, identify, and repair equipment irregularities and malfunctions that occur throughout the shift.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on-shift and during planned maintenance windows.
- Complete root cause analysis / breakdown elimination activities for all failures and implement corrective actions to prevent similar failures in the future.
- Provide technical support, when called upon, to management, engineers, and contractors for baseline development and capital projects.
Participate on improvement teams as needed.
- Understand the principles of product quality control and process flow.
- Proactive in verifying that repair work and modifications support our commitment to safety and quality.
- Other assigned tasks, as required.
The Other Qualifications :
- At least four years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a team based, high-speed manufacturing environment.
- You have a high school diploma or a GED, and you are at least 21 years of age.
- Experience reading electrical schematics, installing devices, and terminating connections based on diagrams.
- Experience reading piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Experience reading and troubleshooting ladder logic.
- Experience with Wonderware, Modicon, and Allen-Bradley devices.
- Experience with instrumentation (flowmeters, pressure transmitters, conductivity probes, etc.) calibrations and troubleshooting.
- Experience troubleshooting and installing VFDs and electric motors.
- Experience troubleshooting valves with feedback (i.e., proximity sensors, reed switches, etc.).
