Entegris is seeking a highly motivated individual for a Mechanical Engineering role in the design and sustaining role for particle analyzer and concentration monitor products in Chandler, AZ.

The position reports into the Scientific Instrument Business Unit within Entegris’ Advanced Material Handling division. This segment develops technologies that support design and development of the most advanced semiconductor applications in the world.

The Role :

This role will be responsible for supporting the development and technical advancement of Particle Monitoring and Concentration Monitoring equipment product designs from conception through commercialization.

The Mechanical Engineer should also be familiar and comfortable with stage-gate approach for Technology Development and New Product Introduction as well as design, documentation, and layout product formats to satisfy the requirements, and support improvement initiatives of existing and new products.

Work with domestic and international company resources and vendors to move new concepts from prototype to production.

What You’ll Do :

In this role, you will be an experienced technical person responsible for design and development of analyzer metrology used in semiconductor manufacturing.

• Conceptualize, design, and develop new, derivative and existing product offerings to ensure performance and advancement of technology and performance;
• including but not limited to design for product safety (general safety and SEMI S2 / S8);
• Lead or co-lead projects related to technology development and new product introduction as it relates to component prototype development;
• Build and test of prototype systems through development and execution of test, qualification and validation plans;
• Characterize and test products to ensure specified requirements are met;
• Help design, build, and qualify various lab equipment, fixtures and tooling;
• Provide documentation support such as creating / maintaining drawings, SOPs, test procedures, test data;

Identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements

• Assist in performing root cause analysis on quality issues on new and existing products;
• Support continuous improvement initiatives with manufacturing resources;

Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocation and tracking of resources

What We Seek :

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, and 5 + years of directly related experience is required ; other Engineering disciplines will be considered;
• Knowledge or experience in engineering design practices, solid modeling ( Solidworks preferred), and creating manufacturing drawings for use in producing prototype components ;

Outstanding Candidates Will Have :

• Ability to design, fabricate, and qualify tooling and equipment used in the manufacture and testing of products ;
• Hands-on experience using various machine shop tools, processes and equipment desired; familiarity with sheet metal and plastic fabrications desired;
• A proven track record of leading or supporting new product launches, design improvements and technologies into Manufacturing with successful market launches ;

Knowledge in semiconductor hardware, metrology and other equipment desired
