Position Description
Supervises and coordinates the activities of team members with regard to construction, modification and maintenance of equipment, building and grounds.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates the effective utilization of team member skills for the maintenance of plant equipment, buildings and grounds.
- Develops, trains and motivates team members to acquire maximum efficiency, productivity, cooperation and morale.
- Implements and monitors preventive maintenance programs.
- Reviews operational schedules and coordinates maintenance activities.
- Supervises the off-hour emergency response to repair equipment and stabilize damages.
- Maintains awareness of plant maintenance policies and procedures, and ensures proper adherence by team members.
- Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to : interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees;
planning, assigning and directing work; EEO / AA; performance management; department budget.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
- Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing maintenance processes related to machinery, carpentry, electrical, etc.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of personnel and maintenance problems
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with and motivate a diverse group of employees
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and / or location
Education
Associates Degree in Technical Field or related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements
Minimum five years industrial maintenance experience in assembly or machining operations
