Lead Auditor BWX Technologies, Inc. Euclid, OH
BWX Technologies, Inc. is looking for an ideal candidate to fulfill the role of a Lead Auditor as part of their Nuclear Operations Group, Supplier Quality Assurance Department at the facility located in Euclid, OH.
This individual will be responsible, for leading a team or working independently, to conduct audits at supplier facilities as well as those conducted internally at the Euclid facility.
Responsibilities :
- Participate in the development of annual audit plans and schedules.
- Perform the Lead Auditor role with audits conducted internally and at the supplier facilities.
- Select the audit teams for both internal and external audits.
- Facilitate audit kick-off and wrap-up meetings.
- Prepare, document and publish audit checklists and audit reports.
- Maintain ownership of audit program procedures, checklists, etc.
- Coordinate audit logistics, personnel, and resources with on-site personnel.
- Maintain audit history files containing all audit documentation and objective evidence collected for each audit.
- Ability to solve complex problems, offer innovative solutions, exercise sound judgement based on analysis from multiple sources.
- Ability to develop and institute best practices in audit training, the audit program, and audit personnel development to provide the value to customer, organization, and others.
- Ability to multi-task, self-manage, and work independently with minimal guidance while providing guidance to colleagues.
- Ability to lead and direct other auditors, manage and improve existing auditing program through process and performance metrics.
- Assist the Section Supervisor with other section responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Quality, Engineering, Science or Business required.
- Five (5) years' experience in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or Maintenance.
- Ability to pass the Lead Auditor qualification exam.
- Must be willing to travel, both locally and overnight, to supplier facilities. Travel is about 50% of the individual’s time.
The travel is typically 2-4 days at a time.
- The individual must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and formulate technical worksheets from requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to precisely articulate requirements with internal and external personnel.
- Excellent organizational and research skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- SAP experience a plus.
Pay : $77,000 - $112,000
The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $77,000 and $112,000 per year.
However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and / or other benefits.
Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department / team performance, and other market factors.
