In our center, kids ages 5-14 learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way by playing and building video games they love.
Kids have a blast and can’t wait to come back.
Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, math, logic, and problem-solving, as they progress from white to black belt.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Code Sensei to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward-thinking minds, working toward our common goal : providing a fun and safe learning environment for children.
Our senseis are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center.
This individual oversees the day-to-day coaching and student engagement.
Are you experienced in working with children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem-solving skills in young engineering minds?
Have you mentored youth? This could be the role for you.
Responsibilities include :
- Training go through the curriculum, learn belt system, grade projects for students (Ninjas!)
- Provide and setup STEM-related learning activities, programs, and exercises
- Administer registration, check-in, sign-up, and monitoring of students and even tend to parents when needed
- Create a positive, fun, and safe environment in which students can grow including creating events, games, and themed activities with a clear purpose
- Work with children to determine skill-sets and assist development and learning needs
- Manage and provide feedback to parents after working with a student who is on a tour
- Follow-up with potential leads for sales opportunities and referrals for follow-up
- Assist in cleanup of dojo throughout the day to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards as needed and maintain a clean, hygienic, sanitized center
- Ensure computer systems, tablets, electronics are routinely updated with security updates, login access is configured, and cleaned
- Report weekly to Center Directors on progress, engage in weekly meetings and provide constructive feedback
- Report daily to Center Manager with respect to day’s activities and productivity in the dojo
- Occasionally require ad-hoc errands to pickup & transport event supplies, perishables / items, and / or attending marketing events
- Follow state and local regulations for wearing masks, social distance guidelines, and other emergency-related mandates
Qualifications :
- Enjoys working with children ages 5 and up (mentoring, coaching, tutoring, etc.)
- Experience working with the general public especially parents and children
- Background in STEM-related education & experience and familiarity a plus
- Metric tracking of key performance indicators and activities for ad-hoc and weekly review meetings
- Managing customer support related tasks and conduct administration related activities & monitoring
- Works well with others; collaborates with a proactive problem-solving mindset for issues / risks
- Knowledgeable about coding and technology; or able to quickly pick up basic / intermediate / advanced concepts
- Coding Training provided and must have an interest in STEM
- Must be fun to work with and likes working in a fast-paced environment where requirements can change frequently
