Engagement Marketing Manager, Amazon Freight

Amazon Freight is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engagement Marketing Manager to join our team. As the Engagement Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in strategizing and owning channels to communicate and engage with existing Amazon Freight shippers, including, but not limited to email automation, channel execution, lifecycle communications management, direct mail, and support Amazon Freight-owned digital properties.

In addition to tactical execution, you will partner with Business Intelligence to own and automate an activation and engagement dashboard to inform a marketing mix strategy that balances rigorously testing new channels and scaling efficient channels.

You will own building an automated email marketing program in partnership with the Marketing Ops team to create a program for scale.

You will own the development of reporting mechanisms, and will provide results, insights and optimization recommendations to drive business goals.

You will also partner closely with our sales team, to enable sales conversion via developing helpful shipper-facing creative sales collateral leveraging our Creative Studio team for assets.

An ideal candidate has the ability to influence cross-functionally, providing new ideas to optimize marketing to support business goals and also support the customer lifecycle.

You will also work collaboratively with the content team to create compelling email content and partner with SEO agency to help optimize the website to attract and retain prospective shippers.

To be successful in this role, you will learn and stay up-to-date on the evolving shipping to Amazon products and external freight industry best practices and trends.

You operate well under pressure, pivoting strategies quickly and as-needed, while balancing competing priorities. You have a creative vision, as you will oversee creation for various forms of design and content to fit your marketing needs.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies for email automation to support the customer lifecycle, including segmentation, personalization, and campaign optimization.
  • Utilize email and marketing automation via Marketo to create and implement targeted email and channel program campaigns.
  • Work closely with the content and design teams to create compelling sales collateral that aligns with marketing objectives, brand identity, and key messaging.
  • Manage and implement SEO tactics to acquire net new shippers.
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics and use data-driven insights to continuously optimize and improve engagement and conversion rates.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in email marketing and automation.
  • Own a marketing reporting dashboard and create mechanisms to share performance with leadership and the broader business;
  • Plan and manage marketing channel budgets.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience building and optimizing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns
  • Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
  • Technical experience : Knowledge of HTML and automated email marketing software
  • Communication skills : Strong written communication and copywriting skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in digital marketing and content production timelines and process
  • Experience in audience segmentation and targeting
