Construction Project Manager
Washington, DC (onsite)
Duration : 10 / 12 / 2024 - 01 / 27 / 2025 (Potential to convert to perm)
Client is seeking a Construction Project Manager for a 3-month contract in Washington, DC, starting immediately. This role involves managing multiple facets of project management for a university's construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee budget, schedule, procurement, quality, safety, and risk with minimal oversight.
- Engage directly with clients and communicate effectively, elevating issues as needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility in problem-solving and maintain focus on project goals.
- Ensure thorough follow-up and management throughout all project phases.
- Be available for occasional weekend work as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management; general contractor experience preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Project Management or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Adobe; Bluebeam experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, self-starter, and excellent communication abilities.
- Experience in quality improvement, ground-up construction, HVAC, and mechanical / electrical projects is beneficial.
- Ability to manage large volumes of work effectively.
