The scope of the proposed services willinclude the following :
Individually respond to computer system emergencies and resolveproblems independently
or in consultation withother Information Technology applications staff or end user
personnel;
Research andresolve program machine data or system software problems of ahighly
technical nature frequently interactingwith other employees supervisors or users;
Provide expert advice assistance or guidance of a highly technicalnature concerning
specialized application toolshardware software or databases;
Providespecialized training to Information Technology applications staffon databases
tools techniques and proceduresrelevant to applications maintenance and development;
Research new developments in hardware and software andkeeps abreast of the latest
developments andstudies involving computerrelated procedures and methods;
Design code compile test debug modify anddocument new or existing highly complex
- applications programs within accepted standards proceduresand guidelines;
- Implement complex inhouse andvendorsupplied applications software;
Evaluateanalyze and prepare information and recommendations on technicalsolutions or
options related to operating andmanaging an information system;
Independentlydefine data elements; design structures for databases; write andcompile
definitions and descriptions of dataelements into dictionary form for use by professionals
and users. Write user guides and other documentation; meetwith users to determine needs
and parameters toevaluate results; train users in programs or systems
Evaluate and analyze requests for enhancements ordevelopment projects of a highly
complexnature;
Solely responsible for the preparationand supervision of formal system test procedures of
highly complex application systems;
Prepare and monitor work plans and schedules to ensure timelinessdata integrity and
availability on a projectbasis.
