Job Overview : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Derivatives Trader to join our trading team. The Derivatives Trader will be responsible for executing derivatives transactions, managing risk exposure, and optimizing trading strategies to achieve profitability.

This role requires strong quantitative skills, market knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Derivatives Trading Execution : Execute trades in derivatives markets, including options, futures, swaps, and other complex financial instruments.

Monitor market movements, analyze trading opportunities, and make informed trading decisions to capitalize on market inefficiencies.

Risk Management : Manage and mitigate risk exposure through hedging strategies, position sizing, and portfolio diversification.

Monitor market volatility, liquidity, and other risk factors to minimize potential losses and optimize trading performance.

Market Research and Analysis : Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trading opportunities and develop trading strategies.

Utilize quantitative models, technical analysis, and fundamental research to inform trading decisions.

Trade Documentation and Compliance : Ensure compliance with trading regulations, exchange rules, and internal trading policies.

Maintain accurate trade records, transaction documentation, and regulatory filings as required.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting : Monitor and evaluate trading performance, including P&L analysis, trading metrics, and performance attribution.

Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

Collaboration and Communication : Collaborate effectively with team members, analysts, and traders to share insights, discuss trading strategies, and optimize trading outcomes.

Communicate market updates, trading ideas, and risk assessments to relevant stakeholders.

Technology and Tools Utilization : Utilize trading platforms, data analytics tools, and financial software to execute trades efficiently and analyze market data.

Stay updated on advancements in trading technology and incorporate new tools to improve trading efficiency.

Skills Required :

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree (MBA, MSc Finance) or professional certifications (e.

g., CFA, FRM) are advantageous.

• 3+ years of experience in derivatives trading or a related role within financial markets, preferably in a proprietary trading firm or financial institution.
• Strong understanding of derivatives markets, including options pricing models, futures contracts, and risk management strategies.
• Proficiency in quantitative analysis, statistical methods, and financial modeling. Experience with programming languages (e.

g., Python, R) for quantitative research and trading automation is a plus.

• Excellent decision-making skills and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work within a team and interact with traders, analysts, and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and trading compliance.

Compensation :

• Performance-based bonuses and incentives can significantly increase total compensation, often ranging from 20% to 100% of base salary based on individual and firm performance metrics.
