Regions Hospital Laboratory is currently seeking a professional, quality-focused Laboratory Services Technician to join our team.
As a Laboratory Services Technician (LST) at Regions Hospital you will :
- Perform functions associated with obtaining, receiving and processing of laboratory specimens on patients of all ages.
- Maintain laboratory and cardiology equipment and supplies.
- Accurately obtain a peripheral IV catheter placement as directed by nursing policies and procedures.
- Accurately perform and deliver an ECG tracking as directed by cardiology policies and procedures.
- Receive and respond to telephone inquiries about laboratory processes and results.
- Provides professional and respectful customer service to all patients and their family members, healthcare providers and staff.
- Participate in training of new personnel and any student clinical rotations.
- Perform related functions as assigned.
Work schedule : .7 Evening Shift
Preferred Qualifications :
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience : Health care experience to include phlebotomy or IV insertion.
