Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - FT
THIRA Health - Bellevue, WA
Required experience : 1-year experience as CNA
Required license or certification : WA State CNA required; Phlebotomy certification required
Responsible for attending to patient medical needs and assisting in the maintenance of a safe therapeutic environment. May be assigned to one or more programs.
Job Requirements :
- Assist THIRA nurse to create, maintain, and track patient health history and medical documentation
- Perform skin check on patients with a history of Non-Suicidal Self Injury (NSSI) and inform the team of any observed evidence of recent NSSI
- Assist patients with self-administered medication while on-site at program
- Administer lab orders and call in prescription refills on behalf of the Chief Medical Officer
- Observe and report changes in patient’s behaviors, physical symptoms, and mental health status to the clinical team, including licensed nurse and Chief Medical Officer
- Conduct vital sign exams on a weekly basis and document quickly and accurately in electronic health record
- Support and assist psychotherapists, dietitians, art therapist, and milieu support therapist in creating and maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu environment
- Assist with medical supply ordering and track usage of these supplies
- Perform job duties while complying with all HIPAA, institutional and health department regulations
- Support Mental Health / Diet Technicians responsibilities as needed
- WA State CNA licensure in good standing
Preferred Requirements :
Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and the ability to transport patients safely in a facility vehicle
