Warehouse Supervisor

Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor reports to the LOGISTEED America, Inc. Operations Manager. This position requires excellent leadership skills along with the ability to monitor workflow, provide focus on inventory control and customer service.

Additionally, including but not limited to :

  • Must be able to communicate and interact with GM, Warehouse Manager, Operation Manager and Customers in a productive and professional manner
  • Lead daily operations team resulting in successful results that are reflected in established key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by established target inventory discrepancy ratio
  • Read and comprehend SOP’s, work instructions, email and documents; measure and count accurately; write legibly
  • Follow established procedures and meet or exceed safety, quality and productivity standards

Essential Functions

OPERATIONS

  • Meeting established procedures and productivity, safety and quality standards
  • Meets attendance & punctuality standards
  • Managing assigned area to meet manpower requirements, equipment maintenance, work flow prioritization and daily scheduling.
  • Auditing all operations to ensure processes are followed according to standard work sheet, including walking through area during and at the end of the assigned shift to a) catch the irregulars on site, b) making sure the team members are following the SOP and rules
  • Ensuring associates have appropriate tools to perform their assigned duties
  • Collecting of data and reporting of established KPIs, quality reports, audits, material handling equipment reports, site or individual performance tracking and customer required reports
  • Managing the Gemba Kanri program within their assigned area of control

COMMUNICATIONS

  • Communicating both orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
  • Communicating effectively both with management and their team

FINANCE

  • Review labor needs based on daily, weekly and monthly schedules
  • Working with all departments, share labor and cross train as required for business needs
  • Managing and tracking all assigned material, equipment and company assets as necessary
  • Identifying process improvement, cost savings, and implement changes to achieve them

TRAINING

  • Directing, supervising, evaluating, training, and developing employees, including SOP’s
  • Managing employee interaction that includes : employee development, one on one coaching, conflict resolution among associates, associates group meetings and trainings.
  • Participate in application of LUS policies and procedures including but not limited Attendance and Punctuality policy, progressive corrective action, and other.

COLLABORATION

  • Support internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to safety, compliance, HR. finance and customers.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ability to travel if needed for business necessity
  • Should be available on a rotating basis for holiday, night and weekend shifts to meet required customer / business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager

Preferred Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

Previous Work Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year fast-paced logistics industry or manufacturing environment experience
  • 1 year supervisor experience
  • Warehouse / Distribution / Manufacturing / Logistics work experience

Education and Certifications

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel - preferred
  • Equivalent work experience will be considered

Experience Requirements and Preferences

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) is a plus
