Main Duties & Responsibilities
Job Summary :
Theprimary purpose of this position is to ensure thatproducts comply with all relevant regulations and standards. This may includeconducting tests, reviewing documentation, and coordinating withcross-functional teams to address any compliance issues.
The engineer may alsobe responsible for staying up to date on regulatory changes and communicatingcompliance requirements to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications
Educationand Work Experience :
Educational Background : Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline or a Bachelor’s Degree and background in metallurgy / material science.
Technical Expertise : Proficiency in heat treatment of steel and experience working in an industrial / manufacturing environment.
Regulatory Acumen : Ability to interpret and apply regulations and standards such as 49CFR 178, ISO 9809 and ASTM material specifications.
PhysicalRequirements : This position requires the mentalability to read and comprehend policies, procedures, instructions, etc.
towrite reports, to use logic and data to solve problems, to assess needs, tocommunicate effectively and varying degrees of independence, judgment, anddiscretion.
This position requires the physical ability to sit for extended periods, use a computer andother office equipment. Additionally, the engineer may need to travel to differentfacilities or external locations to conduct compliance assessments or audits.
