- Greets patients; handles telephone calls.
- Enters / updates orders into the computer system.
- Performs phlebotomy duties; maintains positive identification of specimen throughout processing.
- Prioritizes tasks, giving STAT requests highest priority.
- Uses an understanding of the prin ciples of growth and devel opment to provide age specific treatment and care.
- Maintains supplies.
- Performs inventory.
- Dates reagents / other supplies; removes out dated items.
- Recognizes situations / results that need to be discussed w / Technologist.
- Distributes computer generated reports.

Requirements
Education and Experience :
- High school graduate or equivalency.
- Formal phlebotomy training & / or demonstrated skills preferred.
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Demonstrated computer skills.
- Excellent com munication skills.
Physical Requirements :
- Routine lifting requirements up to 50 pounds.
