TRAVEL IS REQUIRED
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Possess strong diagnostic skills and ability to interpret failure codes and determine repairs needed
- Perform preventative maintenance on all heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including semi, refuse and trailers.
- Inspecting vehicle systems, including hydraulics, suspensions, steering, electrical, brakes and exhausts
- Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated parts
- Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance
- Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment and brake checks
- Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
- Must be able to travel nation wide - per diems provided
- Complete any other projects are tasks as assigned
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years direct experience with Class 7 and 8
- Must have own tools to complete jobs assigned
- Must have a valid driver's license, CDL is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and technical ability is a must
- Must have communication skills, and professional appearance and conduct
