Position Title : Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Intern
Location : Hybrid : Remote / Onsite at WGA I ESF Headquarters in Glenview, IL
Supervisor : Lindsay Dresser, Senior Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Term : May Aug., 2025 (start and end date flexible), 40 hours per week
Compensation : Hourly rate of $15 / hour
Job Description
WGA I ESF is seeking Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Intern. This role will have primary accountability to promote a diverse and inclusive culture in all facets of the organization, including but not limited current Evans Scholars, WGA / ESF Staff, Youth Caddies, Volunteer Leadership , and Tournaments.
The DEI Intern will report to the Senior Director of DEI.

Position Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity to experience a wide range of responsibilities related to DEI, including :
- Assist in supporting current Evans Scholars serving on E-Board as VP, DEI
- Oversee monthly staff newsletter
- Coordinate annual Young Women Caddie Summit
- Aid in coordinating panels, DEI workshops, and education sessions with WGA I Staff, WGA Caddie Academies, and Caddie Scholar Prep as needed
- Attend DEI committee and all-staff meetings
- Review forms and documents to ensure inclusive language
- Gather and input demographic data as needed
- Assist in creative ideas for leveraging DEI initiatives
- Attend local championship tournaments as needed
- Participate in additional projects to support DEI initiatives
Education :
- Pursuing a degree or relevant experience in Communications, Business, Marketing, Human Resources, Management, DEI, or similar field.
- DEI Certification a plus
Knowledge and Skills Required :
- Passion for and commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive environment.
- Demonstrated desire to build a culture of belonging.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with project management
- Effective time management and prioritization skills
- Detail oriented with strong organization and time management skills
- Eagerness to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams)
- Willingness to travel to events and championship sites as needed
