GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Sales / Marketing
- Creation of sales reports as needed for all GTA upholstery.
- Serve as US marketing liaison in collaboration with Belgium-based central marketing division for GTA upholstery.
- Manage and coordinate marketing and advertising efforts for Symphony Mills and Ter Molst as directed by Vice President of Sales and Sales Director.
- Manage inventory and ordering process of sales team supplies such as sample hangers, books, cards, Ter Molst headers & labels, Vivalife headers, Linenlife headers, etc.
- Maintain sales representative territory assignments and direct changes with IT as necessary.
- Source marketing materials through USA suppliers.
- Track furniture market placements for GTA upholstery.
- GTA showroom lead and coordinator. Includes High Point and Phoenix Showrooms.
- Testing coordinator for GTA upholstery.
Sourcing
Manage R&D process of new Symphony Mills products
o In coordination with Belgium sourcing counterpart, monitor and track new fabrics through all stages of development.
o Organize test results / product specs for Symphony Mills and Ter Molst.
o Manage and track initial testing of new fabrics with internal / external quality labs.
o Create and maintain fabric information sheets for Symphony Mills and Ter Molst.
o Initiate new SM item setup as necessary.
o Review new SM developments with US sales team and provide feedback to Belgium team.
o Order initial inventory of new SM products.
o Order initial inventory of sample hangers, books, and cards.
o Maintain SM new line board in team war room.
o Provide progress updates as necessary.
o Track SM upholstery design requests.
o Travels to China (number of trips TBD).
Testing / New Product Development (Ter Molst)
o Liaison between designer and testing by keeping track of the testing file.
o Update information for spec sheet labels in system based on the testing file and product set up information.
o Order & manage flag material (when we are low on sample stock + for new Showtime collections) + keep track of Ter Molst deadlines.
Trade Shows
- Collaborate on showroom design / layout with Creative Director, TerMolst Senior Designer, Vice President of Sales and Sales Director.
- Manage showroom expense budget for Symphony Mills and Ter Molst.
- Manage process of ordering new furniture and upholstering furniture.
- Coordinate logistics of moving furniture in and out of showroom as necessary.
- Maintain inventory of necessary office supplies at showroom.
- Maintain and publish trade show calendar in Teams
- Create and maintain sample request forms...
- Maintain daily tally of sample requests.
- Plan menu and order food for showroom meals, snacks, refreshments, etc.
- Assist salespersons with product presentations as necessary.
- Assist in keeping showroom clean as necessary.
- Purchase furniture, food, beverages, supplies for showroom as necessary.
- Manage storage and auction of showroom furniture and accessories.
WORK EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to interface effectively to manage inter-departmental initiatives.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
