1st Shift - Saw Operator $18-$20 / hr - Byron Center, MI

Preferred Skills :
Ability to read ticket / lot numbers and match with corresponding foam or fabric
Experience in a manufacturing role minimum of 1 year
Ability to multitask and operate multiple machines
Ability to meet strict schedule requirements and overtime requirements
Ability to be a team player and willingness to perform miscellaneous tasks
Able to assist with foam fabrication by use of glue gun or glue roller
Experience using a Pattern Cutter, Angle Saw, or Band Saw.
Preferred Qualifications :
Accurate tape measuring and ability to properly read it
Basic use of decimals along with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills with or without use of a calculator.
Candidates will be required to cut foam to size based customer specs
Previous machine / saw operation experience is required
Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English. This is a requirement for work instructions and documentation purposes.
Ability to pull correct fabric and foam by reading lot numbers from a ticket and matching them to spec
In this role you will be responsible for cutting foam to customer specifications. This will include Pattern Cutters and Angle Saws.
The foam that you will be cutting is used in furniture and packing finished goods for shipment. After a full year of being hired you become an employee owner! This entitles you to profit sharing and quarterly bonuses, as well as 76% of your insurance being covered by the company!
