Applied Innovation is seeking a IT Support Deployment Technician also knowns as a Professional Services Technician to join our team.
This is a Monday to Friday position from 8 AM to 5 PM with an on-call rotation about 3 times per year. The primary focus of this position will be to provide excellent customer service for our Applied Innovation clients in and around Traverse City, Michigan.
Our office is located at 418 E Eighth St, Traverse City, MI 49686. This will be achieved through the following :
- Receive build requests directly from Product and Platform
- Receive build requests directly from Project Coordinators
- Build Workstations and Servers in accordance with SOP for clients prior to delivery
- Configure Meraki Network Infrastructure in accordance with SOP for clients prior to delivery
- Deliver and install inventory
- Following predefined scopes of work and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Configuring hardware and software for deployment
- Installing and supporting network systems, including workstations, servers and infrastructure devices at the client’s location
- Providing troubleshooting techniques during deployments
- Updating client documentation in document retention system
- Following up with clients when appropriate
- Communicating in an upbeat, positive and professional manner
- Keeping up to date on new software and hardware
- Successfully managing time with management oversight
This position will be responsible for having a basic knowledge of, and ability to configure and troubleshoot, the following :
- Current workstation operating systems for PC and Mac platforms (i.e. Windows, Mac OS, Linux)
- Microsoft Office (including Office 365)
- Active Directory administration
- On-premise Exchange
- Web content filtering
- Anti-virus tools
- DNS and DHCP
- Wired and wireless network connectivity
- Server administration
- Network storage devices
- Phones / mobile devices
Requirements Include :
- Minimum of 1 2 years of previous experience in related field, such as helpdesk.
- Minimum of 2-year college degree in Networking, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field, preferred.
- One of the following industry certifications, preferred :
A+ Certification
- NET+ Certification
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
