Title : Electrical Infrastructure Engineer
Location : North Reading MA; Hybrid; 2-3 days onsite
Duration : 12 Plus month contract
Schedule : 40 hrs per week; M-F
Payrate : $60 to $68 / hr. on W2
Skills and Requirements
Electrical Design Experience
- Create an electrical schematic using electronic design CAE tools (Solidworks Electrical, Cadence, etc.) Create a Bill of Materials and Product Structure
- Experience with a PLM database for entering and changing component data, BOMs, BOM structures and drawings, documents (TeamCenter)
- Must be able to work with Mechanical design team to productize power designs
- Must be able to create production-worthy wire harness connection charts
- Create customer facing subsystem diagrams, tables, circuit and hazard descriptions for customer facing documentation
- Electrical and control circuit troubleshooting skills and experience
- Hand wiring and some mechanical prototype assembly skills
Power Design Concepts
- Familiarity with basic US Electrical Safety NFPA 79
- Must be able to design and select components within the confines of relevant product safety standards
- How to spec a new transformer
- How to select line filters to meet EMC requirements and best equipment performance
- How to establish input / output electrical ratings
- Wire & bus bar conductor sizing
- Single, Split Phase and 3-phase (WYE, Delta, High Leg Delta, corner ground delta) power line concepts
- Must be familiar with Power and Safety testing techniques
- Familiarity with Hazardous Voltage Lab Safety
Product Safety
- Exposure and understanding of product safety testing and principles is necessary. SemiTest industry experience is helpful but not necessary
- EN61010-1 Standard or equivalent
- SEMI S2, S8, S10 standards
- Creepage and Clearance Rules and implementation Techniques
- Ground Bond Testing
- Hi Pot Testing
- Lock-out / Tag out concepts
- Interlock functionality and special component ratings
- Basic High Voltage safety
- Be able to create a CDF
- Be able to contribute to Risk Assessments
- Basic elements of a Hazard Label
- Displays and Controls- appropriate colors, labeling, function,
- Rules for Safety Markings & European Declaration of Conformity documents
- European and China RoHS requirements (6 substances & max levels) and labeling
EMC Testing
- Exposure and understanding of EMC testing and principles is necessary, but SemiTest industry experience is not.
- EN61326-1 standard or equivalent
- Awareness of CISPR11 and EN61000 standards set
- SEMI F47 (power dips standard)
- Understand System Level Grounding
- Printed Circuit Board signal Integrity techniques
- Shielding Techniques (cables and mechanical enclosures)
