Senior Field Auditor

The Senior Field Auditor will perform premium audits of policyholder’s payroll, financial records and operations as related to workers’ compensation, general liability and commercial automobile policies.
The Senior Field Auditor role is mainly self-directed, and the individual must have a thorough understanding of the classification system and manual rules.
The audits performed tend to be large andcomplex requiring advanced premium audit skills and an understanding of policy construction.
The successful candidate will work closely with the account underwriter, broker and risk manager in order to obtain a level of cooperation necessary to complete an accurate and thorough audit.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Classifies policyholder operations according to manual rules and develop an accurate exposure base that reconciles to state and or federal quarterly records
- Develops and maintains robust relationships with underwriters, brokers and policyholders
- Communicate regularly with home office staff and underwriting to keep them informed of any issues impacting audit completion
- Manages inventory of audit assignments in order to meet or exceed department guidelines for time service and accuracy

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills :
Required Skills and Abilities :
- Extensive premium audit experience with a thorough understanding of NCCI and ISO manual rules.
- Prior experience auditing large multi-state commercial insurance policies for Fortune 1000 companies with multiple entity / complex reporting structures
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements surrounding the audit process
- Experience using NCCI and independent insurance bureau websites
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software along with advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.
- Working knowledge of Visual Audit software program
Desired Skills and Abilities :
- BA, BS or equivalent work experience
- APA or CPCU designation a plus
- PAAS Training and extensive knowledge of multistate manual rules
- Competency in MS Office applications : Excel, Word and Outlook
- Excellent math skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse groups
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
