24-Hour Medical Staffing is looking to hire Registered Nurses who work in the Oncology Unit to join our list of nurses.
- Pay : Negotiable
- Shift : 8 : 30AM 4 : 30PM
- Type of Assignment : Travel Contract
- Duration : 13 weeks (Possibility for extension based on performance)
- Work Location : Los Angeles, California
Requirements :
- Current State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience
- Current BLS
- Chemo experience required
- Job duties : Completion of pertinent nursing assessment and interventions. Ensure new patient records received and abstracted for physician review.
Telephone triage of clinic patients. Assist physician with in-office minor surgical procedures such as excisional biopsy / wide excision / JP drain / wound vacuum care, wound drainage, Bone Marrow BX, Minor surgical procedures .
Administer intermuscular and subcutaneous chemotherapy injections, work with CADD pumps for continuous infusions, access, de-access and trouble shoot PAS-ports and chest port.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, chemo / surgery / BMT teaching, treatment side effects.
