Director of Manufacturing Operations

This is a full-time in-office position.

Phiston Technologies is looking to hire a visionary Director of Operations to oversee our company's operational processes and ensure a superb customer experience.

This individual will optimize our company's operating capabilities, employ strategies to maximize customer satisfaction, and manage the day-to-day.

You will also oversee the P&L and manage the internal finance team. You will team up with management to implement business strategies.

This position must have a strong background and experience in leading manufacturing and production. You will be leading a team who oversees the build, assembly, and QA / QC of all of our products.

This role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). You'll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader.

As a member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Operations will be primarily responsible for directing and overseeing the operations of the business.

The ideal candidate should have strong decision-making, problem-solving, manufacturing experience, communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, often with minimal direction.

This position will also oversee our accounting and finance department.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and direct the day-to-day activities of the operations function, including procurement, manufacturing, production, quality assurance, shipment, and service
• Manage P&L and internal finance team
• Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures
• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
• Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
• Monitor invoices, money handling procedures, accounting, and bank processes.
• Delegate responsibilities to ensure staff members grow as capable participants.
• Write and submit reports to the CEO on all matters of importance
• Manage relationships with vendors / suppliers
• Assess and implement improved processes and new technologies, and collaborate with management to implement these improvements.

Requirements and skills

• Kowledge and experience with ISO 9000 and 14001
• Proven experience as Director of Operations or similar role with manufacturing experience
• Experience and training in operations management techniques such as lean manufacturing or total quality management preferred
• Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance,etc.
• Knowledge of general accounting practices and managing a P&L.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
• Proven track record of managing complex budgets successfully.
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance / operation metrics
• Working knowledge of IT / Business infrastructure and MS Office
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• Outstanding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levels
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
• BSc / BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc / MBA is a plus
