Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems, servers, and software
• Assist in server migrations to newer major versions of RHEL and adhere to security standards and compliance requirements
• Monitor system performance and ensure system security
• Perform regular system patching using Red Hat Satellite and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless and efficient operations
• Provide technical support and guidance to users
• Document system configurations and changes
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Qualifications

Must Have Qualifications :

• 1-3 years of experience in Linux administration
• Strong understanding of Linux OS, shell scripting, and networking concepts
• Familiarity with server hardware and virtualization technologies
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• BS or BA degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience

Nice to Have Qualifications :

• Mortgage and / or Financial Services industry experience
• Certifications such as RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) are a plus
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages
• Familiarity with security principles and implementing security protocols
• Experience with cloud technologies
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
