Position Summary :

Under physician supervision, performs patient care duties in the medical practice, provides for psychosocial needs of patients, assists with patient teaching, administers medications, and documents accordingly.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

Evaluates condition of the patient and prioritizes data collection according to the immediate physical / psychological condition of the patient.

Communicates collected data to other members of the healthcare team, as necessary.

Follows the plan of care and recommends changes to meet the needs of the patient.

Exhibits time management skills to prioritize care for patients, and manages time efficiently.

Demonstrates knowledge of patient rights and responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training and Travel (if applicable) :

Graduate of an accredited LPN school.

1-3 years of healthcare experience.

Current SC LPN license.

Current BLS certification.
