Position Summary : Under physician supervision, performs patient care duties in the medical practice, provides for psychosocial needs of patients, assists with patient teaching, administers medications, and documents accordingly.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Evaluates condition of the patient and prioritizes data collection according to the immediate physical / psychological condition of the patient.
• Communicates collected data to other members of the healthcare team, as necessary.
• Follows the plan of care and recommends changes to meet the needs of the patient.
• Exhibits time management skills to prioritize care for patients, and manages time efficiently.
• Demonstrates knowledge of patient rights and responsibilities.
