Overview
We are seeking an Operations & Maintenance Technician to grow our Service Department. The O&M tech must be tech savvy and have knowledge of basic wiring and schematics required to run diagnostics and maintenance of the Solar Systems.
We are looking for a dependable candidate who will be able to maintain a high level of business ethics, professionalism and excelled communication between their team, customers and upper management.
Responsibilities :
- Installs and monitors performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
- Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
- Repairs and maintains motor control centers and programmable logic controls.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Requirements :
- 1+ year of experience solar maintenance on large scale solar farms, including solar DC operations, AC medium voltage systems, substation operations, network and communications
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
- Proficient with MS Office suite
- Experience with operation of SCADA, DAS and UPS systems
- Experience working with a CMMS platform
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight
- Valid Driver's License'
- Working knowledge and experience operating under OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, and 70B
- OSHA 10 General Industry certificate
- Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends
- Skilled in the use of testing equipment and tools such as Infrared cameras, IV Curve Tracing, Meggers, Ground Fault Detection
- Must have the ability to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk for 8-10 hours a day
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Electrical : 1 year working knowledge (Required)
- North Eastern NC Region, (or willing to relocate)
