The mission of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences is the development of professional health care practitioners through innovation, individualized, and quality classroom, clinical, and distance education.
Content Developers research source material, write course content, design learning activities, and coordinate with University Faculty and instructional design staff to develop instructional content for blended courses in the OT Department.
All Content Developers will be required to create content related to the OT Process, Foundations of the practice and OT Theory.
The specific content area expertise includes specialization in one of the following topics :
Psychosocial and community service includes occupational therapy services with individuals living with mental health challenges and occupational dysfunction.
This individual will be familiar with community-based settings, population health, and community programming to support individuals at all ages.
These courses will involve assessment and treatment, billing, documentation, and working alongside the treatment team.
The ideal incumbent must have exceptional writing, team collaboration, project management, and communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that all instructional materials are aligned with program and learning outcomes and competencies.
- Write exam questions in National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) format and style.

- An Occupational Therapy (MOT or OTD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Expertise in one of the subject matter areas as listed above.
- Instructional design or curriculum development experience preferred but will train.
- Highly responsive and organized to collaborate effectively and meet deadlines.
- Licensed Occupational Therapist
May require periodic travel to USASH campus locations, up to 30%.
