HVAC Technician - Bolingbrook, IL

JLL is seeking an experienced HVAC technician with strong management and leadership skills to oversee a client site in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

This role combines hands-on technical work with site management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, representing JLL
• Manage multiple vendors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and warranties
• Prepare and present monthly site reviews
• Perform on-site HVAC maintenance and repairs
• Oversee facility systems and equipment

Technical Duties :

• Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) on various HVAC systems :
• Unit Heaters (Annual)
• Packaged Air Handling Units (Quarterly, Semi-annual, Annual)
• Water Heaters (Annual)
• HVAC Heat Pumps (Quarterly, Semi-annual, Annual)
• Maintain and repair :
• Dock Doors (Quarterly, Annual PMs)
• Fire Extinguishers (Monthly visual inspections, Annual vendor inspection)
• Light Fixtures (As needed)
• Emergency Lights (Monthly testing)
• Eyewash Stations (Monthly testing)

Vendor Management : Oversee and coordinate with vendors for :

• Janitorial services
• Turnstile maintenance
• Dock equipment
• Walk-off / floor mats
• Fire / Life / Safety systems
• Mechanical, Electrical, and Heating services
• Robopack (visual troubleshooting)

Requirements :

• Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and repair
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and client relations abilities
• Ability to work on-site full-time (no flex schedule available)
• Knowledge of facility management and vendor coordination
