Purpose
This position provides engineering and project support to Save A Lot facilities to drive labor improvements through engineered labor standards.
Execute project initiatives for performance incentives, cost benefit evaluations, workflow analysis, asset utilization and scheduling optimization.
Track progress on key measurables and communicate to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule project scopes, specifications, timelines, milestones, and deliverables to support network initiatives
- Validate and maintain time-studied standards
- Calculate and implement performance incentives
- Ensure labor management system is accurate and fully utilized at all assigned sites
- Create scheduling tools which accurately reflect work content of a site
- Create and deliver training for on labor management standard and systems
- Evaluation of material handling equipment and requirements
- Leads and develops innovative new programs, policies, and processes to eliminate waste, drive operational effectiveness and strengthen DC culture
- Facilitate team meetings on a regular cadence to review project and position specific initiatives
- Assists in improving and implementing productivity and cost reduction initiatives
- Assists in gathering data for financial and operational benchmarks by working closely with appropriate company personnel and others as required
- Prepare period reports by gathering insights from across distribution facilities and consolidating findings
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Distribution, or relevant field
- 3+ years of relevant experience, including Labor Standards
- Proficient with RF Scanning and WMS systems
- Advance proficiency in Microsoft office tools Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint preferred
- Exposure to Power BI or similar BI tool is desired
- Previous project management experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, which may include weekends and evenings, as needed
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment
- Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal
- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
