The Role
As a Director of Enterprise Programs and Learning, you lead one or many workstreams in designing industry-leading learning solutions and programs that deliver on Fidelity's business objectives and measurably improve associate performance.
In partnership with your team, Product Owners, Talent Heads, and Learning Leaders, you push the boundaries of our current learning capabilities through experimentation and exploration of new ideas.
The Team
As a member of the Learning Strategy and Design team, you will be at the center of Fidelity's initiatives to deliver modern learning experiences and programs that have measurable impact to both associate performance and business objectives across the enterprise.
As a design leader and strategist in the field of learning, you have an active role in mentoring and coaching learning experience architects and designers in the transformation of learning strategy into tangible solutions.
The Expertise You Have
- 10+ years of experience within a learning and development function, including performance / business consulting, learning management and / or instructional design OR 10+ years’ experience embedded in a business leadership role with hands-on experience in performance management, coaching and team leadership or transformation.
- Two to five years experience in leadership development or organizational design.
- Experience conducting needs assessments and evaluating the impact of learning solutions.
- Advanced degree (preferred) or bachelor’s degree with equivalent work experience in business, education, or organizational development.
- Demonstrated expertise in consulting and client management skills.
- Experience leading and managing multiple large and / or complex projects simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge and skills in instructional design and adult learning theory.
- Experience designing, creating, and sustaining scalable programs.

- Ability to partner with assigned business areas (Director / VP level) to proactively assess learning needs and identify and build effective learning solutions.
- Ability to think strategically and act consultatively to ensure design meets the business needs and understand how the programs you support fit into both HR and business strategies.
- Ability to facilitate large, cross-functional working sessions that engage all levels of associates and leaders.
The Value You Deliver
Designing, developing, and delivering learning experiences and programs that meet targeted learning objectives and outcomes using the Enterprise Learning Experience (ELX) suite of authoring and software tools (Adobe Creative Cloud etc.
and applying design standards.
- Create and deploy a logistics strategy that enables our cohort-lead program managers to run our experiences at scale while minimizing process complexities and manual intervention.
- Design and tailor the programmatic components of our experiences to support the environment required to meet the learning objectives of the experience e.
g. room setup, technology and equipment, vulnerability activities.
- Partner with pillar lead to monitor ongoing success metrics and signals of program health to drive future iterations and mitigate risks.
- Develop learning strategies focused on cohort and / or exploratory learning solutions. Champion new learning strategies and solutions.
Drive the effective design, development, and delivery of solutions.
- Act as a change agent to lead and handle change across the business.
- Develop and build skills / capabilities within the learning leader community.
- Generating and implementing practices within the learning organization based on the latest research in the industry.
- Working collaboratively with Enterprise Talent Development & Learning leaders to prepare and manage project plans for large-scale initiatives and complex projects.
