Job Title : Civil Engineer
Job Description
Growing civil engineering firm in Vancouver, WA is in search of a civil engineer with an EIT to aid in plan production, including drafting plans and drawings for construction from rough or detailed sketches and making adjustments or changes as necessary for site development projects up to hundreds of acres in size.
Engineer will :
- Develop detailed drawings for construction of civil engineering site improvements including corridors, pipe networks, parcels, grading, draining, storm water, and storm water reports (in Hydrocad).
- Coordinate the collection of data and incorporate the information including topographical surveys and geographical reports, drawings, maps, and other drafting documentation.
- Modify drawings based on red lines, mark ups, field notes, and other instructions.
- Retrieve applicable jurisdictional data from various sites to ensure drawings incorporate the latest standards and provide additional engineering support services as needed under the direct supervision of an engineer.
- Maintain project drawing files, associated records, and documentation, schedules, and meet deadlines.
Ability to verify data for accuracy and quality control is required.

Hard Skills
- Experience in land development in developer financed projects
- Ability to design grading, parcels, pipe networks, and utilities in AutoCAD
- Storm water design and reports in Hydrocad
Soft Skills
- Demonstrated ability to ask questions when needed

- Clear communication skills with internal team and external stakeholders / clients
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Vancouver, Washington and some days remote.
Work Environment
WFH Fridays + one other day from home of consultant's choosing (any day but Monday). Parking paid for in building. Location in downtown Vancouver.
Team of 12, currently fully staffed at PM level, which equates to significant hands-on mentorship.
