JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Serves as "Voice of the Customer" reviewing concerns, questions and non-conforming material.
- Analyze failures; perform root cause analysis and corrective action for process related concerns and / or customer complaints.
- Review, analyze, and determine Root Cause and Corrective Actions for internal Non-Conforming Material.
- Posts Key Business Indicators in support of company and corporate goals.
- Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system and tools as well as work with manufacturing and engineering personnel in support of the quality function.
- Interfaces with engineering and operations to ensure successful new product launches.
- Supports the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system and customer requirements.
- Continuously improve Quality first piece, in-process, and final inspection processes and procedures.
- Assists in developing personnel to improve skills required to reduce final inspection turn-backs.
- Installs statistical sampling and monitoring of processes as required, reports on trends.
- Assist the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- B.S. Degree with 5+ years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
- Experience with CMM and CAD based computer programs.
- Aerospace / AS9100 experience
- Experience with ISO-9001, TS-16949 or AS-9100 Quality Management Systems
- Experience with common machine shop gaging and techniques such as height gages, indicators, thread gages, plug gages, dial bore gages, surface finishes.
- Familiar with CMM machines and the associated coordinate measuring system.
