Property Accounting Manager- Hybrid

Location : Dallas, TX 2 days on site a week

Compensation : $115K + Bonus + Equity

The Property Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of property accounting, including managing general ledger functions, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Strong leadership skills and a background in real estate accounting are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee all property accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting for multiple properties.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements specific to the real estate industry.
• Manage audit processes and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
• Prepare and analyze property budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable related to property operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including variance analysis and profitability assessments.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Lead and mentor the property accounting team, promoting professional development and team collaboration. Prerequisites :
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with a focus on property or real estate accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting in the real estate sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software (experience with insert software, e.g., Yardi, MRI preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
