Our Residential Home in Middleton is looking for Direct Support Professionals to join its team!
About this Home : Join the Middleton 4 team to join a dedicated group of support staff who oversee the care and well-being of four residents.
The folks at this home have varied and shared interests which include but are not limited to participating in Special Olympics, music therapy, dances, shopping, and bowling.
Two of the residents who live at this home use manual wheelchairs for mobility. Due to the medical needs of the residents at this house, there is a nurse on every shift which adds a layer of comfort for both staff and residents.

Job Summary : To provide quality living supports and be responsive to individuals living in residential programs or independently.
Teach, support, and facilitate choices for people in their homes and within their communities.
Major Responsibilities :
- Provide Direct Care and support the clinical and social needs of the individuals receiving services.
- Document accurately and thoroughly including in Inter-Team Communication Logs, Health Records, Daily Data Books and Fire Drill Logs as outlined in Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures
- Facilitate meaningful community experiences for each individual that fosters skill acquisition, relationship building and independence.
- Provide hands-on support at the home, including individualized supports in transferring, bathing and grooming, and following specific dining protocols and treatments.
- Administer medications according to Northeast Arc Policies and Procedures and MAPs Regulations. Support Drs appointments, ER and hospital visits and contact on-call nursing appropriately.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following Universal Precautions, ensuring that emergency exits are clear and accessible at all times and maintaining staffing ratios as outlined in contracts with funding agencies and House Safety Plans.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications :
- Valid driver’s license required for most positions
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for periods of time, bend, push wheelchairs, provide physical intervention as necessary

Pay Rate : Estimated $19.00 / hr. -$20.50 / hr. depend on experience and certification (FA / CPR and MAP)
