Director of Food and Beverage - Waldorf Astoria New York
After undergoing a transformative restoration, The Waldorf Astoria New York is set to reignite its magnetic allure. The Waldorf Astoria New York is seeking a Director of Food and Beverage to unveil a new era of luxury which embodies the spirit of New York City.
In this role, you will oversee the entire food and beverage operation of the Waldorf Astoria New York managing a large team across five (5) food and beverage outlets including a large and robust Banquet and Catering operation.
What will I be doing?
As Director of Food & Beverage, you will direct and organize the activities of the Food & Beverage department to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.
Specifically, you will :
- Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.
- Implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
- Help ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service.
- Interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedule and evaluate staff.
What are we looking for?
The following outlines the required qualifications for the Director of Food and Beverage :
- Prior Director of Food and Beverage experience in a Forbes 5-Star hotel or equivalent.
- Significant experience managing a unionized or organized workforce.
- No less than 5 years of substantial work experience at the level of Director of Food and Beverage.
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions :
- Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
- High level of IT proficiency.
The annual salary range for this role is $200,000 - $230,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience.
