Senior Devops Engineer

190 - 200k base + bonus

Our client is a series C company that specializes in next-generation cutting edge HVAC control sensors and optimization platforms.
Their platform delivers insights on energy and cost savings for their clients, and they are rapidly growing in the SMART Home space.
They are looking for an Sr Devops Engineer to join their team who has experience in the start-up world and larger companies, with 5+ years of experience.
This role will come in and lead the DevOps function at R-Zero, and is 1 day a week on site in Menlo Park.
The Engineering team is highly collaborative at this company, so they are looking for someone who enjoys working and collaborating with others to create innovative solutions through constant communication.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with software development and quality assurance teams to design, implement, and maintain effective and scalable CI / CD pipelines.
- Create and improve automation tools and scripts to streamline software build, deployment, and release processes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Manage and deploy infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
- Strong understanding of CI / CD principles and experience with CI / CD tools like GitHub Actions.
- Proficiency in scripting languages.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible.
- Strong knowledgeand hands on experience of cloud platforms AWS and GCP (both are required), and managing cloud infrastructure.
