Description
Head Coach Men's Soccer
Midway University, located 14 miles outside Lexington, KY, is actively seeking a full-time head coach to lead our men's soccer program.
This is a full-time, 12-month position that reports directly to the Athletic Director.
Key responsibilities include the following :
- Recruiting, with the Admissions team, to achieve roster goals, competitive success, and academic performance in accordance with admissions procedures and scholarship requirements.
- Organizing, scheduling, and leading daily practice sessions, game plan preparation and strategy, competitions, and off-season training.
- Coordinating travel arrangements for away contests.
- Supporting academic progress and enforcing discipline and sportsmanship behavior.
- Hiring, supervising, and evaluating assistant coach and program volunteers.
- Budgeting, fundraising, promoting and marketing the program.
- Additional duties may be assigned by the Athletic Director.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements :
- A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Demonstrated coaching experience is required, with head or assistant collegiate-level experience preferred.
- Familiarity with and working knowledge of NAIA rules, along with a strong commitment to compliance, are essential.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends, as well as travelling for away games, is required.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound judgment and the ability to respond to emergency situations promptly.
- Commitment to the academic and life skills development of student-athletes.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships across campus.
- Previous experience in recruiting student-athletes and managing coaching staff.
