Job Summary
The Network Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our network infrastructure, including firewalls, configurations, implementations, controllers, switches, and Ubiquiti devices.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network administration, a strong understanding of network security, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Management : Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and controllers.
- Configuration & Implementation : Configure and deploy network devices and services, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Firewall Administration : Manage and configure firewall policies, monitor firewall performance, and ensure the network is secure from external threats.
- Ubiquiti Equipment Management : Install, configure, and maintain Ubiquiti network devices.
- Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations.
- Security : Implement and enforce network security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect data and resources.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedural guides.
- Collaboration : Work closely with IT team members and other departments to support and implement network solutions.
Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on firewalls, network configurations, and Ubiquiti equipment.
- Technical Skills : Proficient with network management and monitoring tools. Extensive experience with firewalls (., Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto).
Strong knowledge of network protocols and configurations (., TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). Hands-on experience with Ubiquiti devices.
Familiarity with network controllers and switches. Understanding of network security principles and practices.
- Certifications : Relevant certifications (., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Ubiquiti certification) are a plus.
