- Job Objective : A brief overview of the position.
- Provides direct patient care and is responsible for providing individual, group, couples and / or family psychotherapy at the Eisenhower Behavior Health Outpatient Clinic.
Maintains caseload by monitoring and providing comprehensive care in accordance with accepted standards of practice delineated by the Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Regulatory Board and established EMC policies and procedures.

- Required : Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy
- Licensure / Certification
- Required : Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); Workplace Violence and Response Training Class will be completed during program orientation;
5150 Certification Training within ninety (90) days of hire
- Experience
- Required : Two (2) years of mental health experience in individual, group, and family psychotherapy
- Preferred : Experience in Crisis Intervention; interest in clinical education for varying trainees in mental health
- Essential Responsibilities
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Completes comprehensive patient evaluations for mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, domestic violence and / or medical needs across the lifespan.
- Conducts psychosocial assessment of patients upon initial evaluation, annually, and / or as clinically indicated to evaluate social, emotional, and physical needs by applying psychotherapy theories and techniques.
- Identifies and addresses barriers to care.
- Engages in active, ongoing assessment with updates in treatment planning to promote patients' progress in therapy.
- Manages caseload of varying clinical acuity.
- Documentation demonstrates intervention that supports patients' treatment in compliance with record-keeping requirements and for billable services in direct patient care.
- Coordinates and collaborates with clinical, health education, community health and other staff members in the provision of services to patients.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
