Position Summary
The Donor Relations Coordinator provides leadership, expertise, counsel and coordination for stewardship strategies vital to the overall success of University Advancement and the UWL Alumni & Friends Foundation, as they support the priorities of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL) through philanthropic endeavors.
The coordinator directs donor stewardship programs through standards of procedure for acknowledging, recognizing, celebrating and communicating with donors about the impact of their investment in UWL.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or four years of equivalent work experience
- Ability to articulate in both spoken and written forms of communications
- Two years experience in fundraising, higher education, public relations, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Non-Profit, Higher Education, or experience in a related field
- Four years experience in donor relations and / or university advancement
- Proven and measurable organizational and time management skills
- Exhibit professionalism through the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Skilled at managing tasks independently
- Ability to work effectively with people across multiple levels of an organization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

The UW-La Crosse campus is in southwestern Wisconsin, nestled in a residential area of the City of La Crosse and positioned as part of a larger metro area with a population close to 140,000.
The area, known as the 7 Rivers Region, is famous for its exceptional natural beauty which includes the Mississippi River on one side, majestic bluffs on the other, and views of rolling farmland and forested valleys in between.
