School Psychologist (Non-Public )

Starting Salary : $63,075

Applicants seeking Part-time employment or 1099 independent contractor work as a School Psychologist are also welcomed.

Working in Nonpublic School settings allows the school psychologist more flexibility to set their own schedule, to recommend interventions and other instructional strategies to be trialed within the classroom after students of concern are referred for full evaluations, to prioritize quality over quantity with regard to completing evaluations, and to provide recommendations and referrals that will foster the strengths and address the needs of evaluated students both inside and outside of school.

Working as a School Psychologist with CORA, you will :

  • Provide consultative services to school staff, parents, students, and other members of their multi-disciplinary school teams.
  • Administer psychoeducational testing to determine needs of students.
  • Compile psychosocial histories on families and children assigned for evaluation.
  • Conduct interpretive sessions concerning all screenings and evaluations they administer to students.
  • Write all reports pertaining to psychoeducational services provided to students.
  • Consult with school personnel and families to assist with the development and implementation of modifications and accommodations to support academic and functional skills development of students with disabilities.
  • Is available to consult with principals regarding best practices, particularly as they are making placement decisions for their students.
  • Participate in all necessary multi-disciplinary school team functions, including regular meetings.
  • Adhere to agency guidelines and requirements concerning caseload management, record- keeping, and accountability.
  • Contribute to regular psychology staff meetings where best practices and systematic approaches to problem-solving are discussed.

Qualified Candidates Should Possess :

  • Masters Degree in Psychology
  • Pennsylvania certification in school psychology
  • Doctoral Degree and Pennsylvania Psychologist licensing desirable
