They are seeking a hands-on Interim Controller to oversee all aspects of our accounting and finance functions. This role is essential to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and working closely with their full-time bookkeeper.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage all accounting functions, including invoicing, payroll oversight, and general financial operations.
- Work with our full-time bookkeeper.
- Ensure compliance with all financial and accounting regulations, including the SCA, CBAs, and union requirements.
- Prepare for and assist with FSO reviews and government audits.
- Support timely and accurate invoicing and help resolve any outstanding invoicing issues.
- Utilize QuickBooks for managing financial records and transactions.
Ideal Candidate :
- Extensive experience as a hands-on controller, preferably in government contracting or a similar regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of T&M contracts, Service Contract Act, and union agreements.
- Government contract environment invoicing.
- Contract management in a government contracting environment.
- Ability to manage payroll, and audits in a multi-state, unionized environment.
- Experience working with QuickBooks will be helpful.
