Expected salary range of $182,700 to $203,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
A mid-level attorney handling complex real estate and related legal matters and projects.
POSITION SCOPE
- Manages relationships and matters with internal clients and outside counsel.
- Demonstrates superior legal judgment in the business context.
- Demonstrates innovation; generates new ideas and devises original and successful solutions, programs or actions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Handle and supervise complex real estate and related legal assignments; evaluate both legal and business risks and advise clients accordingly with minimal supervision.
Review and draft real property documents including leases, easements and other contracts and advise clients accordingly.
Work closely with and advise clients on real estate and related matters.
Projects / duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and eligible to practice law as in-house counsel in the relevant jurisdictions.
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience in real estate law.
- Excellent legal analytical and drafting abilities and ongoing, extensive knowledge of real estate law.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; to analyze legal materials and other data; to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines;
and to provide realistic risk assessments and practical advice to clients.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Law firm experience.
- Experience and knowledge of the energy industry and in particular independent power producers.
