Reporting directly to the Director for Enrollment Communications and Operations, the Digital Multimedia Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring a cohesive digital presence across all platforms.
With a primary focus on undergraduate recruitment and retention, this role involves developing, curating, and maintaining engaging content to enhance Baruch College's brand and attract prospective students.
Responsibilities :
- Develop, curate, and maintain daily social media channels to drive traffic to the Undergraduate Admissions website, promote recruitment / yield events and programs, recruit students, and foster a sense of community.
- Create dynamic digital content including copy, videos, photos, and graphics tailored for retention efforts through social media channels.
- Collaborate with departments and divisional communications staff on student-centered projects, executing social and digital tactics to support recruitment initiatives.
- Provide consultation and strategy support on social media, digital engagement, and content planning.
- Manage student-focused social media channels, blog , newsletter , ensuring alignment with the College's branding and messaging.
- Shoot and edit high-quality digital images and video footage to meet marketing and news coverage needs.
- Manage content calendar and engagement activities for centralized social channels, providing consultation to departments.
- Assist with the strategic development and execution of paid social media campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Monitor social media accounts, implement crisis management best practices, and compile reports on usage, views, engagement.
- Manage Social Media student ambassador team; organizing projects, content curation, and training sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree and four years’ related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms, social media management such as Hoot Suite or Meta Business Suite.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Design skills with experience in print and digital projects.
- Videography experience with video editing tools.
- Understanding of web architecture and HTML / CSS modification.
- Previous experience in an educational or advocacy organization.
- Creative storyteller with a keen eye for detail.
- Collaborative team player committed to inclusivity and diversity.
- Adaptable and proactive in learning new technologies and strategies.

Collaborates with management team in the development of admission and enrollment goals, strategies, and initiatives; participates in planning enrollment events.
Analyzes and interprets quantitative and qualitative student enrollment data to prepare reports for management.
Recommends and implements improvements to existing technical systems and office operations.
Serves as resource reference to interpret and comply with University and College enrollment policies.
Prepares and reviews student communication materials.
May coordinate aspects of student entry from point of allocation to include orientation, advisement, and collection of admitted student documents.
May supervise office operations and / or department budget
