The San Ramon FC Assistant Coach acts as a mentor, teacher, instructor, and role model and is expected to model the behavior expected of the players, including, but not limited to, sportsmanship, self-control, hard work, punctuality, leadership, resilience, enthusiasm, commitment, connection to the team, club, and community, and good written and verbal communications.
At SRFC, Assistant Coaches are employed by the Club and are expected to support the priorities of the Club as a whole.
Responsibilities : Coaching :
Coaching :
- Support the head coach during all soccer training sessions.
- Attend all three training sessions - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during the week.
- Conduct yourself in a professional and sportsmanlike manner at all times that reflects the SRFC mission, values, and pillars of character;
comply with the rules of all relevant sanctioning bodies and adhere to the Positive Coaching Alliance guidelines and principles.
- Teach the fundamental philosophy, skills, and knowledge essential to the sport, with particular emphasis on the SRFC curriculum, philosophy, and style of play.
- In cooperation with the Head Coach, create an environment and performance that reflects enthusiasm, motivation, proper fundamentals, and sportsmanship.
- Maintain effective personal, player, and team discipline at all practices.
- Develop and apply knowledge of fitness, injury, sports psychology, and nutrition to prepare athletes for sessions and games.
Relationships :
- Communicate promptly and effectively with the Head Coach of the age group / team.
- Establish and maintain good rapport with the Director of Coaching, coaching staff, and other club staff.
Qualifications :
Elite youth club playing experience or higher.
Required experiences and knowledge :
- A positive approach and commitment to the SRFC mission of developing players, character, and community through soccer.
- In-depth knowledge of the game of soccer.
- Ability to plan and coordinate training sessions.
- Player identification / scouting based on SRFC player profiles.
- Experience and understanding of youth club culture.
- Demonstrated experience developing youth players.

Position : Part-Time
Hours : Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 4 : 00-7 : 00
Pay : $20.00 / hr
Location : City of San Ramon
- 7v7 teams at Central Park Fields 3 and 4.
- 9v9 teams at Rancho San Ramon Grass Field.
