EAPC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Sioux Falls, SD, team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and clients.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting project types including commercial, public safety, educational, and healthcare.

At EAPC, our team of architects, engineers, interior designers, construction managers, and other professionals work together to create stunning structures and designs for optimum performance.

As a Mechanical Engineer (PE or EIT), you will :

• Work as an Integrated Member of a Multi-Discipline, In-House Team of Engineers, Architects, and BIM Modelers working with REVIT, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination software / plug-ins
• Use of TRACE 3D for building calculations
• Research design options and select equipment, layout duct, and piping, and create and edit project details.
• Review shop drawings, research code issues, and ask general questions of code officials.
• Keep the Project Manager informed of workload and any changes in project scope or services through ongoing communication to understand any project changes, design issues, or time / budget constraints that may impact the initial assignment.
• Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate mechanical engineering work on projects.
• Perform construction management, as necessary, for projects during the construction phase
• Must be able to accommodate and meet customer demands within deadlines
• Verify and interpret applicable codes and regulations
• Assist the Mechanical Department as well as Individual Project Managers with the development and management of project budgets, scopes, fees, and production coordination with progression toward independently performing these duties

To join us, you should have :

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Passed FE exam, or is on track to take within 6 months of hire;
• Will consider all levels of experience, 2+ years of experience preferred
• Experience or education in REVIT and AutoCAD
• Preference is given to experience with energy modeling software, preferably TRACE 3D
• Willingness to work occasional overtime to meet deadlines
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

The position will report directly to the Sioux Falls Office Manager and will work as an integrated member of a multi-discipline, in-house team of engineers, architects, and drafting technicians.

Title and responsibilities will be determined by experience and licensure.
