Overview
The Production Manager is responsible for the operational performance of assigned departments. Leads and directs manufacturing activities to produce parts safely, within quality standards, on schedule, and while meeting cost objectives.
Responsibilities
- Synchronizes efforts between manufacturing, scheduling, manufacturing engineering, and quality to maximize customer satisfaction while meeting operational objectives.
- Monitors and meets daily operational excellence objectives which include safety, quality, delivery productivity, and inventory requirements, while ensuring production volumes meet customer needs.
- Assist in the development and execution of long and short-range planning, policies, programs, and objectives relative to assigned departments.
- Upholds the manufacturing plan and procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.
- Leads continuous improvement activities for the assigned department regarding safety, quality, delivery, productivity, scrap reduction, inventory, and preventive maintenance by using Lean manufacturing methods.
- Directs and monitors production supervisors and other areas as needed to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures.
- Directs the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of production standards relative to assigned departments.
- Identifies and addresses concerns and complaints to resolve problems in a positive and constructive manner.
- Serves as the technical resource to assist production groups with technical problem solving, training, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, operations, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
Experience Requirements
- Seven years of experience in manufacturing operations, or related field.
- Proven success in leadership within a manufacturing environment.
