Overview
The function of the Family Services Telephone Receptionist and Intake Worker is to receive all incoming calls from the switchboard and walk-in requests, offering guidance and direction concerning the visitors associated requests. Responsibilities
Description of Position :
- Answer all incoming calls from main switchboard, identifying the caller’s needs.
- Take messages as necessary, transferring them to appropriate case worker or employee.
- Keep statistics of all incoming calls
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the social services resources within the community in order to make appropriate referrals.
- Manage the operation and admittance of the security entrance in 30 E. King St.
- Register all clients coming in for assistance.
- Review all documentation ensuring they have what is needed for their appointment.
- Schedule and interview for the Gas Cap and Dollar Energy programs
- Maintain a good grasp of all services The Salvation Army in York, Pa offers, and clearly state those services.
Qualifications
Requirements :
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy; willing to learn new computer skills.
- As Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2024 within 30 days of employment.
Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks prior to employment : PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record / Fingerprint Check.
Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 along with renewals every five years.
