Position Summary :
The Surgical Technologist practices under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an autonomous and collegial manner, integrating, critical thinking skills, commitment, creativity and caring.
Work Schedule :
60 FTE, M-F rotating start times (0600-0900), 8 hr shifts
potential 1 Saturday in December
Required Qualifications :
Must be certified through one of the following Surgical Technologist Programs : CST () or NCCT () at time of hire or obtain the certification within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Currently validated CPR skills preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
- Practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment of orthopedic surgical procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization methods.
